The Best Happy Hour Deals in Hong Kong Island

Happy hour in Hong Kong is a feast, with a plethora of deals to enjoy across the city at any day of the week. The Central Business District in particular overflows with options, since that’s where most office towers are situated. We've put together a list of our favorite Happy Hour spots in Causeway Bay and Central.

Causeway Bay

SKYE Rooftop Bar and Restaurant

Located just one minute from V Causeway is the aptly named rooftop bar, SKYE, which runs a happy hour deal every weekday, covering a wide range of wines, spirits, and beers. The main attraction of this bar however is the stunning panoramic harbour views it offers. A large roof terrace sweeps around the restaurant, offering impressive vistas of the Victoria Harbour. If you are looking to spend your happy hour in Causeway Bay sipping drinks watching the sunset amidst the city’s billion-dollar skyline, this bar is the place to be.

Worth the Fuss (WTF) Bar & Lounge

Tucked away in Morrison Hill Road, a quieter part of Causeway Bay, lies WTF. This friendly yet hip neighborhood bar offers amazing cocktails and spirits, many blending Eastern and Western flavors together. The small yet cozy interior of the bar adds to its charm, along with its knowledgeable bartenders. Happy hour runs from 4-8:30 PM Monday to Saturday with buy one get one free deals on selected drinks and discounts on their innovative signature cocktail list.

Central

Wolf Market

Wolf Market is an homage to the stock exchange, in which prices of alcohol fluctuate based on ‘market demand’ and is projected onto the ceiling and walls like stock indexes. While this may not be the place for people working in finance (because it might feel like they never left work, unless that is the point), it is an energetic scene for the rest of us. Happy hour in this bar in Central, Hong Kong runs from 3-9pm, with house spirits and beer priced at just $50. A friendly note though – their signature drinks and the mouthwatering Jack Daniel’s Fried Chicken remain fixed in price, as they know they’ve got us hooked!

UG-1/F, The Plaza, 21 D'Aguilar Street, Central

Foxglove

Stand outside Foxglove, and you could be forgiven for thinking that you’re on the set of Kingsman. Indeed, Foxglove is inspired by the vision of the world travels of a British gentlemen and his lover’s favorite flower (the Foxglove). Decorated with checkered tiles and golden display cabinets showing off antique canes - the bar itself is surprisingly intimate, with seats clustered close together under dim lighting. In the middle of the room stands a small stage, and it is certainly worth getting a seat with a good view of the stage. At around 9 or so, some of Hong Kong’s best jazz bands begin to play, so get there early! Our favorite drink is the Mizuwari – a whisky with plum wine and chocolate bitters.

6 Duddell Street, Central

LILYA Moroccan Lounge and Bar

Looking for a taste of Marrakesh in Central, Hong Kong? LILYA Moroccan Lounge and Bar is best known for its authentic Moroccan cuisine along with its colorful interior design evoking the feel of a traditional bazaar. Known for their Happy Moroccan Hours on Sundays to Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm, the happy hour menu offers buy one get one free drinks. Our favourite is Medina – a rum and almond milk concoction with pineapple infusions. Don’t miss their great snacks -  scrumptious starters including their chicken, almond, and honey pastries as well as cheese and olives. And if the mood strikes, the place transitions great into a nice dinner venue.
